Sky Atlantic television drama Gangs Of London returns for a second season. The modern day gangster drama series was created by Gareth Evans – a filmmaker best known for his films The Raid and The Raid 2.
The British action crime series first aired in April 2020 and has since garnered a huge following. The series tells the story of the city of London and its rival gangs as they fight each other for control of the drug market.
Viewers are introduced to the trials and tribulations of Elliot Finch as he navigates the city’s underground crime scene. After the cliffhanger end of Season 1, fans are wondering what Season 2 has in store and how many episodes there will be.
Everything we know about Season 2
The second season picks up a year after the shocking cliffhanger of the first. After the collapse of the Wallace-Dunami empire, anarchy reigns in the streets as gangs fight for power.
Five new cast members were announced for the second season, with Waleed Zuaiter claiming the role of a new gang boss known only as Koba. This exciting nod to a new villain is certainly enough to get fans excited about Sky Atlantic’s highest-grossing drama in years.
Among the other cast members announced are Jasmine Armando as Saba, Aymen Hamdouchi as Hakim, Salem Kali as Basem and Fayed El-Sayed as Faz. These new characters are bound to wreak havoc on Elliot.
How many episodes does season 2 have?
The first season consisted of nine episodes, each lasting 50-58 minutes. The only exception is the first episode, which lasts a total of 1 hour and 12 minutes.
The second season aired on Thursday October 20th this year and will only consist of eight episodes. The series will air later this year.
Each episode streams weekly on Sky Atlantic with NOW in the UK. For US viewers, the series will be available to stream on AMC+ starting November 17, 2022.
