PETALING JAYA: RHB Banking Group will run loan payment and finance assistance clinics for two consecutive weekends at over 100 selected RHB Bank branches nationwide for clients who need additional assistance to repayment of their loan and funding after the six-month loan moratorium ends. month.

In a statement released yesterday, RHB said the clinics will be held on September 19 and 26, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., where clients can discuss their loan and funding repayments as well as submit their requests for payment assistance.

Employees who have lost their job or their income and are interested in attending the clinic must bring with them the letter of termination or the letter from their employer (indicating unpaid leave of at least three months with full pay) ; or the latest statement from the Employee Provident Fund (EPF) (i-Akaun) showing no contribution to EPF; or statutory declaration.

Self-employed workers who have lost their jobs or income must provide proof of business closure / liquidation; or a statutory declaration.

Employees who have suffered a reduction in salary or income and who wish to go to the clinic must bring with them a salary review letter or their latest EPF statement indicating a reduction in their EPF contribution; two-month salary slip for comparison (before and after reduction in salary) and legal declaration.

Self-employed workers who have suffered a reduction in salary or income must bring the latest half-yearly bank statements or statutory declaration.

Employees encountering payment difficulties for other forms of loans or the financing of payment assistance programs must bring their last one month pay slip or last one month commission statement or last EPF statement.

Self-employed workers experiencing difficulty paying for other forms of loans or funding payment assistance programs will need to bring their latest personal / business bank statements from the past three months showing self-employment income.

Clients who do not have the documents listed above can submit other types of income documents to support their claims, including a dependent income document (spouse / parents / children); fixed deposit interest / profits, dividends or rental income; assets under management (current account / savings account / listed shares / unencumbered SICAV) and statutory declaration.

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) requesting assistance are encouraged to provide their latest semi-annual bank statement and latest audited accounts.

“Additional documents may be required and will be determined on a case-by-case basis once the application process begins.

“RHB urges its customers who anticipate difficulty repaying their monthly payments to visit payment assistance clinics and discuss mutually achievable repayment terms to help ease their financial problems,” the bank said.

The bank added that it is proactively engaging with customers before the end of the moratorium period through various physical and digital channels.

“These include social media and website posts, phone calls, physical visits, text messages, SME helpdesk, emails and electronic mailings, with particular emphasis. on high-risk and vulnerable categories. “
