On May 11, Highbury Avenue between Hamilton Road and Highway 401 will be closed, according to a public notice from the City of London.
The closure is expected to begin around 6:45 a.m. Wednesday and last until around 3:00 p.m. for infrastructure maintenance and scheduled ditching along the road.
As a result, all northbound traffic exiting Highway 401 onto Highbury Avenue will be directed north toward Bradley Avenue at reduced speed. The City advises all motorists to exit Bradley Avenue and follow posted detour signs.
Those traveling south on Highbury Avenue will deviate at Hamilton Road to use alternative routes to reach the onramps of Highway 401.
Delays are expected and all road users are encouraged to visit the city’s Renew London website to check if their commute is affected.
